Telah menderita lumpuh sejak usia 15 tahun, Ahmad Wahno, 60, adalah

anak sulung dari 6 bersaudara tersebut, kini mengajarkan baca tulis

Wahno memulai kiprahnya mengajar baca tulis Al Qur’an semenjak 25 tahun
yang lampau. Meski kondisinya sedemikian rupa, namun Wahno tetap
berusaha untuk terus memberi manfaat kepada sesama. Meski semua itu
hanya bisa dilakukannya dari atas pembaringannya.
Wahno, ikhlas dan sabar dalam menjalani kehidupannya yang telah digariskan oleh Sang Pencipta untuknya.
Wahno yang kini tinggal di rumah adik bungsunya, rutinf mengajar baca
tulis Al Quran dimulai sejak pukul 13.00 hingga menjelang waktu ashar
tiba.
Ketidakmampuannya untuk beranjak dari tempat tidur, membuat proses
mengajar baca tulis Al Quran tersebut tak bisa dilakukan dalam satu
ruangan.
Anak-anak berada di ruang tamu di bagian depan rumah, sedangkan Wahno
tetap berada di kamar. Wahno menggunakan microphone sebagai alat bantu
untuk memperbesar suara, agar bisa didengar oleh murid-muridnya.
Meski mengaku belum menjadi hafidz, Wahno tak kesulitan untuk
membenarkan lafadz dan bacaan dari murid-muridnya ketika mereka membuat
kesalahan.
Disela-sela waktu sebelum dan setelah mengajar, ternyata pria murah
senyum tersebut memiliki kegiatan lain yang masih berhubungan dengan Al
Qur’an, yaitu menulis kitab berisikan do’a-do’a harian dengan
menggunakan huruf arab.
Sekilas, hasil tulisan tangannya tak berbeda dengan Al Qur’an cetakan, bahkan beberapa di antaranya tampak begitu bagus.
Mengingat kondisi tangan Wahno pun tak bisa dikatakan
sempurna, selain tampak begitu sulit digerakkan, kedua telapak tangannya
tak bisa membuka secara sempurna. Sehingga ketika melihat hasil tulisan
tangannya, ia sempat sulit untuk mempercayainya sendiri.
“Saya membuat garis-garis pemandu lebih dulu, sehingga deretan
tulisan bisa lurus dan lebih rapi”, urai Wahno saat ditanya bagaimana ia
memulai menulis rangkuman do’a-do’a tersebut.
Setelah selesai dengan sebuah kitab yang disampul kertan berwana
biru, kini Wahno juga tengah berupaya menyelesaikan satu lagi kitab do’a
